So Julia Pott mentioned to me that she’s doing this collaboration for The Decembrists a while back.  Since I don’t really follow The Decembrists in any way I kind of forgot but she just sent me the link to the trailer - basically on October 19 in Los Angeles marks the debut of Here Come the Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized, a collaboration between the band and four filmmakers, Guilherme Marcondes, Julia Pott, Peter Sluszka and Santa Maria — each of whom have created animation to accompany a section of the album.  At the show, the band will perform the entire album synchronized with the animation, as well as an additional second set of older and newer material.

This animation is great! The shapes and the movement is awesome! I wish I was going to be in La for the opening!
